HPBC Gateway Campus Now Open

From Dr. Paul Kelly, Hawaii Pacific School of Theology,  Gateway Campus Director

I hope you had a wonderful Easter and a meaningful time of celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord! As a Gateway Seminary alumni, you play a key role in the life of our community, and we’re grateful for the ways you continue to stay connected. With the opening of our new campus in Hawaii this Fall 2026, we’d love your help spreading the word. If you’re part of a church community or know someone who might be interested in taking classes with us, we’d be grateful if you’d consider forwarding this email to them:

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your interest in the Hawaii Pacific School of Theology, a new campus of Gateway Seminary. We are making steady progress toward our official launch in Fall 2026, and I’m excited to share that we will be offering two courses this fall at our Honolulu campus.

(1) New Testament I — Dr. John Taylor

Our first course is New Testament I, taught by Dr. John Taylor. Originally from Australia, Dr. Taylor brings extensive experience in international and youth ministry. He is a gifted New Testament scholar and a highly regarded professor among Gateway students, as well as a sought‑after speaker for ministry leaders.

New Testament I begins with an exploration of the historical and cultural world in which the New Testament was written. You’ll deepen your understanding of the New Testament books and then move into a focused study of the four Gospels. This course will enrich your ability to study, preach, and teach the New Testament with greater depth and inspiration.

Class Meetings (Honolulu Campus):

  • October 2–3
  • October 30–31
  • Fridays: 1:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Dr. Taylor will also host several Zoom sessions between the two weekends to support you with readings and assignments.

(2) Principles and Approaches to Bible Teaching

Our second course this fall is Principles and Approaches to Bible Teaching. We are finalizing the dates and times and will share those details with you very soon.
